The Role
This is far more than simply operating a CNC machine.
You'll be responsible for programming, setting and operating our Biesse Rover A CNC machining centre, producing bespoke joinery products to exact customer specifications.
Working alongside our production, design and manufacturing teams, you'll play a vital role in ensuring every component is manufactured accurately, efficiently and to the highest possible standard.

What You'll Be Doing
As our CNC Programmer & Operator, you'll:
- Programme and operate our Biesse Rover A CNC machining centre.
- Create efficient machining programmes using CAM software.
- Interpret technical drawings, production schedules and customer specifications.
- Select appropriate tooling and machine parameters to maximise quality and productivity.
- Set up and prepare materials for machining.
- Produce high-quality bespoke timber components with exceptional accuracy.
- Carry out first-off inspections and routine quality checks.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Perform routine machine maintenance to ensure maximum reliability and performance.
- Work closely with colleagues across production to meet customer deadlines safely and efficiently.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys precision engineering and takes pride in getting things right first time.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience programming and operating CNC machining centres.
- Experience with Biesse Rover A machinery (highly desirable).
- Good knowledge of CAM programming software.
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Excellent understanding of machining strategies, tooling and cutting parameters.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to manufacturing.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues.
- A commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement.
Experience within timber manufacturing, bespoke joinery or woodworking would be advantageous, although candidates from other CNC machining backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
