Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Shipwright to join our dynamic team, bringing craftsmanship and precision to the construction, repair, and maintenance of vessels. As a vital member of our maritime operations, you will be responsible for building, restoring, and ensuring the seaworthiness of ships and boats. Your expertise in various fabrication and carpentry techniques will help us deliver top-quality craftsmanship while maintaining safety standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from small craft repairs to large vessel construction, in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities
· General shipwright tasks
· Fitting interior bulkheads and interior panels as well as interior components/ fixtures.
· External fittings including; winches, cleats, windows, catches & hatches
· Teak deck install and re-caulking decks
· Bond different materials together and have a good understanding of the prep requirements to produce a quality job.
· Fit deck hatches with a sound understanding of hinges, gas rams and seals.
Skills
· Experience of working in the luxury yacht industry.
· Attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
· Good team player and excellent communicator.
