Overview
Join our busy and growing team as a Class 1 (C&E) Artic Driver, where your driving skills and dedication will keep our operations moving smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate walking floors and tipping trailers for the transportation of goods across designated routes
- Load and unload cargo with care.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Plan efficient delivery routes to meet deadlines while optimizing fuel and time resources
- Communicate effectively with team regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered on the road
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and records of all transportation activities
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during every trip
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 (C&E) licence with a clean driving record
- Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph Card
- Experience with walking floor and/or tipping trailers preferred
- Knowledge of safe loading/unloading procedures
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety standards
- Excellent navigation skills and ability to plan efficient routes
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting cargo and securing loads as needed
- Prior experience in delivery driver roles is highly desirable
