CBRE ElectricalTechnician, performing electrical maintenance to plant, equipment, and buildingservices systems, while supporting the wider team to ensure continuity ofservices for our client.
This role is partof the Engineering and Technical Services function. The successful candidatewill provide technical support and expertise to achieve operational objectivesand liaise with the wider technical services community and Subject MatterExperts (SMEs) as required.
What You’ll Do:
- Ensure continuityof engineering and electrical services to our client.
- Identify andmanage risks associated with electrical systems and infrastructure on site,including critical spare requirements, condition reporting, and recommendationsfor improvements to preventative maintenance programs.
- Complete plannedpreventative maintenance (PPM) and proactive maintenance activities on time andto the required standard.
- Respond toreactive maintenance requests and work within agreed response and resolutiontargets.
- Diagnose andfault-find on electrical building services systems and associated equipment.
- Carry outmaintenance and repair activities on electrical distribution systems, lightingsystems, emergency lighting, small power, control systems, and associatedbuilding services equipment.
- Supportcolleagues across Site Services and Integrated Facilities Management (IFM)functions as required.
- Review and followRisk Assessments and Method Statements, challenging any concerns anddynamically assessing risks throughout tasks.
- Complete allrequired documentation in compliance with company procedures, statutoryrequirements, and relevant legislation.
- Use mobiledevices and CAFM systems (Maximo) to accurately plan, record, and completemaintenance activities.
- Utilise email,calendars, and digital systems to manage daily workload efficiently andeffectively.
- Supervise andchaperone contractor activities, ensuring compliance with approved RiskAssessments, Method Statements, and site safety requirements.
- Communicateeffectively with clients to understand requirements, provide updates, andensure customer satisfaction.
- Liaise with otherCBRE teams, client representatives, and landlord stakeholders to resolvebuilding services issues promptly and professionally.
- Deputise forcolleagues and supervisors during periods of absence when required.
- Work overtime asrequired to support operational needs, planned activities, incidents, oremergency situations.
- Promote andmaintain a safe working environment, reporting and escalating concerns wherenecessary.
- Support andoversee specialist electrical contractors in line with maintenance schedules,QHSE requirements, and client expectations.
- Completemaintenance activities while ensuring compliance with customer operationalrequirements and business continuity needs.
- Supportmonitoring and analysis of engineering performance metrics (KPIs) and ensurework orders are progressed within agreed timescales through CMMS systems(Maximo).
- Drive continuousimprovement and innovation by participating in peer reviews, site assessments,technical evaluations, and feedback initiatives.
- Promote One Teambehaviours within Ford Land Operations.
- Collaborate withexisting operational teams to identify best practices, efficiencies, andservice quality improvements.
- Support clientprojects, reconfigurations, electrical modifications, and operational changes.
- Lead by exampleand demonstrate behaviours aligned to CBRE RISE values while ensuringcompliance with Health & Safety standards.
- Apply technicalexpertise and understanding of electrical systems to support team anddepartmental objectives.
- Adhere to all 18 th edition regulations ( latest regs and amendments ) and all CBRE electrical safesystems at work.
- Identify,troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex electrical andengineering issues.
- Provide supportand operational cover across the account team as required.
What You’ll Need:
- Recognisedelectrical apprenticeship or equivalent training and development in electricalengineering disciplines.
- City &Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Installation,Electrical Maintenance, or Engineering.
- 18th Edition IETWiring Regulations (BS 7671) qualification desirable.
- Inspection andTesting qualification (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent) desirable.
- Proven experiencein electrical building services maintenance or a related role, preferablywithin manufacturing, production, logistics, or industrial environments.
- Experienceworking in operationally critical environments where client infrastructure mustremain available with minimal downtime.
- Strongorganisational and planning skills.
- Experienceworking to both planned maintenance schedules and reactive maintenanceworkloads.
- Goodunderstanding of electrical safety regulations, technical standards, and QHSErequirements within building services environments.
- Experiencemanaging specialist contractors and ensuring safe systems of work are followed.
- Strong customerservice, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Competent user ofMicrosoft Word, Outlook, and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)such as Maximo.
- Understanding ofelectrical distribution systems, fault diagnosis techniques, and statutorycompliance requirements.
