Role Overview:
Haresfield Farm is seeking a hands-on Assistant Production Manager for our egg packing facility near Chippenham. You will support the manager in leading a small team, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency. This role requires a blend of leadership skills and a willingness to work alongside operatives on the floor.Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise production operatives and coordinate daily workloads.
- Step up to run the packing floor smoothly when the manager is away.
- Oversee strict egg grading, sorting, and packaging quality control.
- Monitor packing machinery and troubleshoot basic issues.
- Enforce food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and health protocols.
- Track daily output metrics and report stock levels to management.
Requirements:
- Experience in food production, packing leadership.
- Strong communication skills to motivate and guide a team effectively.
- Exceptional eye for detail regarding product quality and compliance.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy cases when assisting the team.
- Ability to problem-solve quickly in a fast-paced environment.
