We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and ambitious Deputy Nursery Manager to join our leadership team and help drive excellence across our nursery.
The Role
Working closely with the Nursery Manager and Directors, you will support the day-to-day running of the nursery, lead and inspire staff, maintain high standards of care and education, and ensure every child receives the very best start in life.
This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring someone who can confidently support teams, coach practitioners and step into the manager's role when required.
Key Responsibilities
Support the overall management and daily operation of the nursery.
Lead, motivate and develop staff through coaching and role modelling outstanding practice.
Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are consistently met.
Monitor the quality of teaching, learning and interactions across the setting.
Build positive relationships with children, families and external professionals.
Support staff supervisions, inductions and professional development.
Contribute to occupancy growth, parent engagement and continuous improvement plans.
Maintain high standards of health and safety, compliance and record keeping.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Level 3 qualification in Early Years or above.
Previous experience in a senior practitioner, room leader or management role.
Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements.
Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
A genuine passion for developing others and improving outcomes for children.
Desirable:
Experience as a Deputy Manager.
DSL qualification.
Paediatric First Aid certification.
Experience supporting SEND and inclusive practice.
