Overview
We are looking to add another experienced Vehicle Technician to our rapidly expanding and valued team to help maintain and repair mostly German manufactured cars.
As a Motor Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring vehicles operate safely and efficiently. Your hands-on skills and attention to detail will contribute directly to the reliability and safety of our customer vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inspections using, diagnostic tools, wiring schematics and technical manuals to identify mechanical or electrical issues.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and suspension.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools and assembly techniques to complete repairs accurately and efficiently.
- Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems.
- Replace worn or damaged parts, perform heavy lifting when necessary, and ensure proper assembly of components.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used in compliance with safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with vehicle maintenance, repair and diagnostics.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and assembly processes.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols.
- Knowledge of vehicle systems including electrical wiring, hydraulics, and engine mechanics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail during diagnostics and repairs.
- Prior experience in equipment repair or maintenance is a plus; NVQ Level 3 certification in automotive technology is preferred but not essential.

Pay: £45,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
