DB Leisure is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated School Time Swimming Teacher to join our Aquatics Team based at Crystal Leisure Centre.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by delivering high-quality swimming lessons to school pupils, helping them develop confidence in the water and achieve the National Curriculum school swimming outcomes.
Working as part of the DB Leisure team, you will plan and deliver safe, engaging and inclusive swimming lessons, assess pupil progress, maintain accurate records and promote water safety at every opportunity. While the primary focus of the role is delivering school swimming lessons, you may also be required to teach children, adults and other members of the public as part of our wider Learn to Swim programme, depending on operational requirements. You will work closely with schools, colleagues and the wider leisure team to provide an excellent customer experience while ensuring lessons are delivered in line with Dudley Council policies, safeguarding requirements and recognised industry standards.
About You
You will:

Hold a recognised Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification awarded by Swim England, the Swimming Teachers' Association (STA) or another recognised awarding organisation accepted by Dudley Council.

Have experience of delivering high-quality swimming lessons to children and, ideally, adults.

Be passionate about teaching swimming and promoting water safety.

Have excellent communication and customer service skills.

Be committed to safeguarding children, promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, and maintaining high professional standards.

Be able to work both independently and as part of a supportive team.

Be willing to undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and mandatory training.

Hours
This is a 10-hour per week, term-time position based at Crystal Leisure Centre.
Please note that working days, times and lesson timetables are subject to change at the beginning of each school term to meet the operational demands of the School Swimming Programme and the wider Learn to Swim programme. Flexibility is therefore essential.
