Responsibilities
- Safely operate a van to deliver packages, supplies, or equipment to designated locations within the community or business sites.
- Plan efficient routes to maximize delivery speed and reduce fuel consumption.
- Load and unload cargo, often requiring heavy lifting and careful handling of items.
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, clients, and team members to confirm delivery details and address any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle inspection reports.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during every shift.
- Assist in warehouse activities when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organizing stock.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; <PERSON> driver certification preferred.
- Experience with warehouse operations and heavy lifting tasks.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Knowledge of local roads, traffic patterns, and safety procedures.
- Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting heavy packages and standing for extended periods.
- Prior experience with delivery driver experience, commercial driving, or related roles is highly desirable.
