Overview
We are seeking a reliable, friendly, and dedicated Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves supporting pharmacists in dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and helping to ensure the smooth operation of pharmacy services.
The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, a conscientious approach to their work, and a genuine passion for patient wellbeing. Previous pharmacy experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training and support will be provided to the right candidate who demonstrates the right attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to delivering high standards of care.
The role will be for between 32 hours per week over 4 days.
Experience & Skills
- Previous experience as a dispensing assistant or in a similar role is desirable but not essential
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy
- A reliable, conscientious, and professional approach to work
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of day-to-day pharmacy operations
- A recognised qualification in dispensing or a related field is desirable but not essential
