We aren't just a production line; we are a tight-knit team looking for a reliable Factory Operative to help us maintain our reputation for excellence.
The Role
In this position, you will be at the heart of our manufacturing process. You’ll be responsible for helping create our bespoke furniture pieces and ensuring our customers receive their orders safely and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Door Prep: Prepping of doors, including but not limited to sanding and cleaning down.
- Machinery Operation: Operating specialist machinery to assist in the manufacture of furniture.
- Material Handling: Moving materials and finished goods (please note: this role involves heavy lifting).
- Assembly: Assisting with the precision assembly and finishing of cabinetry.
- Deliveries: Performing local deliveries to our clients and installation sites.
- Workshop Safety: Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- The Right Attitude: You are reliable, hard-working, and take pride in a job well done.
- Physical Fitness: You are comfortable with the physical demands of a factory environment, including manual handling and heavy lifting.
- Driving Requirements: A full, clean driving license is required. Due to vehicle insurance requirements, candidates aged 25 or over are strongly preferred.
- Commute: Ability to reliably commute to Diss (IP22 5UR) or plan to relocate before starting work.
Why Voyager Kitchens?
- Full Training Provided: We will invest in your skills, teaching you how to safely and effectively use our specialist machinery.
- Stability & Culture: Join a steady, family-run environment where you are a valued team member, not just a number.
- Varied Work: From the workshop floor to the open road making deliveries, no two days are exactly the same.
- Perks: On-site parking.
Working Hours & Shifts:
- Monday – Wednesday: 07:00 – 16:30
- Thursday: 06:00 – 16:30
- Friday: 06:00 – 14:30
- Note: The flexibility to work overtime on occasional Saturdays may be required.
How to Apply:
If you have a strong work ethic, a clean driving licence, and want to be part of a proud local team, we’d love to hear from you.
