Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Nursery Manager to lead and inspire our early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will oversee daily nursery operations, ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children, and foster a positive team culture. Your leadership will drive high standards of childcare, support staff development, and promote effective communication with parents and stakeholders. Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and Ofsted quality standards
- Lead, motivate, and support nursery staff to deliver exceptional childcare and early childhood education
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that promote children’s development
- Maintain open, transparent communication with parents regarding their children’s progress and wellbeing
- Oversee staff recruitment, training, performance reviews, and professional development initiatives
- Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and stimulating for children of various ages
- Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to, in particular safeguarding and SEND
Experience
- Proven management experience in a childcare or nursery setting
- Extensive experience working directly with children in a nursery environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of Ofsted regulations, SEND code of practice, health & safety standards, EYFS framework and other regulatory requirements
- Extensive safeguarding knowledge
- Hold a full and relevant Level 3 Qualification, maths and English and two years post qualifying experience
- Degree preferred
