The Role
As an Upholsterer at Carechair, you will be responsible for producing high-quality upholstered seating to exact specifications. Working as part of our manufacturing team, you will help ensure every product meets our high standards of quality, durability, and finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Upholstering healthcare and specialist seating products.
- Fitting, and securing fabrics, foams, and coverings.
- Operating upholstery tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Conducting quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet production schedules and deadlines.
About You
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous upholstery experience in furniture manufacturing or a similar environment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently.
- Good manual dexterity and practical skills.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Experience working with specialist seating or healthcare furniture.
- Knowledge of different upholstery materials and techniques.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
