We are looking for a serious, hardworking individual to join our team as a Purchasing Manager / Scrap Metal Buyer. This role is fully field-based — you will spend most of your time driving, visiting suppliers/customers, purchasing scrap metal, and transporting it back to our warehouse.

This is a physically demanding, hands-on job. You will be required to load and unload materials yourself.

Key Responsibilities
- Travel across Leeds, Bradford and surrounding areas to buy scrap metal
- Build relationships with suppliers and find new business opportunities
- Negotiate prices and make competitive purchasing decisions
- Assess material quality and value
- Load materials at supplier sites
- Transport goods to the warehouse
- Unload and organize materials
- Maintain accurate records
Requirements
- Valid UK driving license (required)
- Physically fit and willing to do manual work
- Responsible, reliable, and self-motivated
- Strong negotiation skills and competitive mindset
- Good attention to detail
- Able to work independently
- Applicants must be willing to travel to Scotland for training, which may last up to one month.
