Deputy Head of Fundraising
The Role:

Fundraising Strategy, Income Growth and Operational Performance
· Report to and collaborate with the Head of Fundraising and Marketing to develop and deliver a balanced, sustainable fundraising strategy that maximises income and supports long-term growth.
· Be responsible for leading on the development of 2 new headline fundraising events in 2027. Maximising capacity and bringing in new supporters.
· Develop and assist in leading the established headline fundraising events alongside the Head of Fundraising.
· Lead and grow the Community fundraising income stream with the support of the Fundraising Assistant.
· Work with your team, including the fundraising volunteers to set budgets and operational plans.
· Foster a collaborative approach across all income generation disciplines including Retail, Marketing and Shared Services.
· Ensure strong compliance and operational effectiveness.
· Own and deliver annual; and multi-year voluntary income targets, with focus on events and community income streams.
· Ensure strong pipeline development across community and high-value fundraising pathways.
· Make cost conscious decisions that balance value for money and long-term sustainability.
· Contribute to income growth targets and long-term financial sustainability planning.
Donor Engagement
· Uphold an ambassador role for Helen Rollason Cancer Charity, strengthening relationships across communities, businesses and strategic partners.
· Maintain professional and high value supporter and volunteer engagement.
· Use the CRM daily, keeping it clear and updated throughout. Use the system to make informed decisions regarding fundraising activity.
· Inspire people to support the organisation, through fundraising and raising awareness, from first-time fundraisers to long-term supporters.
Governance and Compliance
· Ensure adherence to regulatory, legal and ethical standards and internal policies
· Embed risk management, risk assessments safeguarding and safe systems of work across all fundraising activities.
· Oversee fundraising-related contracts and processes ensuring value, quality and compliance and alignment with HRCC values.
Pay: £16.00-£22.00 per hour
