Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver who owns a large van to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods to various locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, organisational abilities, and strong communication to provide exceptional service to our clients. The position offers an opportunity to work independently while contributing to the smooth operation of our delivery services.
Duties
- Safely operate your own large van to deliver goods across designated routes within specified timeframes.
- Load and unload items, including heavy or bulky goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transit.
- Follow delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times, delays, or issues.
- Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from recipients as required.
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with experience in commercial driving
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- Valid driver’s licence suitable for operating a large van
- Ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.
