An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a highly respected and expanding subcontractor specialising in brickwork and scaffolding across the South East.
With a strong order book and exciting projects ahead, this is an opportunity to take a key leadership role within the business, influencing commercial performance, profitability and future growth.
The Role
You'll take ownership of the commercial performance across multiple live projects, working closely with senior leadership, site teams and the wider commercial function.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting the commercial team across multiple projects
- Managing valuations, variations, cost control and final accounts
- Negotiating contracts and subcontract agreements
- Managing forecasting, reporting and cash flow
- Identifying commercial risks and maximising opportunities
- Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers and site teams
- Supporting senior management with commercial strategy and business growth
About You
You'll ideally have:
- Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge within construction
- Excellent leadership, negotiation and communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- A commercially astute and proactive approach
- A full UK driving licence
- Experience within brickwork, scaffolding or specialist subcontracting would be advantageous, but is not essential
