Registered Manager / NI - Partner / Shareholder opportunity (CQC Registration Lead)
New adult social care startup seeks an experienced Register Manager to join a new venture as Partner / Shareholder, leading the registration and launch of a new service for adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Complex Needs.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced social care professional to play a key role in establishing and shaping a new service from the ground up. The successful candidate will take ownership of the CQC registration process, service mobilisation, regulatory compliance and operational development, whilst also being a partner/shareholder within the business.
The role is suited to a RM who is confident in personally leading the CQC Registration process for an Adult Learning Disabilities / Autism / Complex Needs service. Will initially be acting as the named RM and NI to support the registration process and service launch. Once the service is established and operational, a separate RM will be recruited allowing the successful candidate to focus on their long-term role as NI.
Premises in the Birmingham (B23) area are secured and ready for use, supporting both residential care and supported living services.
The Role:
- Personally lead and complete the CQC registration process
- Initially undertake both RM and NI responsibilities during the CQC registration and service mobilisation phase.
- Take ownership and accountability for compliance and service quality
- Lead the day-to-day operation management of the service
- Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures, and QA systems
- Support recruitment, staffing and operational development
- Promote a culture of safe, person-centred and high-quality care
The Role Is For Someone Who:
- Has proven experience as a Registered Manager / NI in adult social care
- Has direct experience with LD, Autism, and / or Complex Needs services
- Has a strong understanding of CQC regulations, registration requirements and compliance
- Has experience leading or supporting successful CQC registrations
- Is comfortable undertaking both RM and NI responsibilities during the registration and start-up phase
- Is motivated by the opportunity to help establish a service from the ground up
- Wants a long-term Partner / Shareholder role, not interim or consultancy work
- Lives in, or within reasonable commuting distance of Birmingham (B23) – ideally within Birmingham, Walsall, Sandwell or Dudley
- Has strong knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory frameworks
- Is comfortable with responsibility, accountability and building a service from the ground up
This is not a consultancy, advisory or short-term role, it is a hands-on leadership and ownership position.
The role requires on-site presence and is not suitable for remote working.
