Office Administrator – Accounts & Health & Safety Support

We're looking for an organised, proactive and enthusiastic Office Administrator to support both our Accounts and Health & Safety departments. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, offering the opportunity to work with colleagues across the business and make a genuine impact.

What you'll be doingPurchasing & Accounts Support
- Raising and amending purchase orders in line with company procedures.
- Booking goods received and delivery notes onto our in-house system.
- Ensuring paperwork is authorised, accurate and complete.
- Chasing outstanding documentation and resolving supplier queries.
- Supporting the monthly stock take process by distributing and collecting stock sheets.
- Reconciling stock records and liaising with department managers to investigate any discrepancies.
Reception & Office Support
- Providing reception cover and creating a welcoming first impression for visitors.
- Signing in guests and contractors.
- Assisting with meeting room preparation and hospitality.
Health, Safety & Training Administration
Working closely with our Health & Safety Manager, you'll help ensure our people have everything they need to work safely and remain compliant.
This includes:
- Coordinating occupational health appointments and maintaining confidential records.
- Ordering and managing PPE stock to ensure employees always have the equipment they need.
- Inspecting and replenishing first aid supplies.
- Coordinating internal and external training courses.
- Maintaining accurate training records and issuing renewal reminders.
- Supporting new starter inductions, documentation and PPE issue.
- Producing reports for outstanding timesheets and working with managers to ensure records are complete.
- Assisting with improvements to automated reporting systems.
- Providing administrative support for departmental projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Enjoys working in a busy environment with a varied workload.
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Can prioritise tasks and work independently.
- Is confident using Microsoft Office and learning new computer systems.
- Takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Enjoys being part of a supportive team.
Previous experience within an accounts, purchasing or administration environment would be beneficial, but isn't essential. Full training will be provided for the right person with the right attitude.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
