Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and responsible Play Cafe Key Holder to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be entrusted with opening and closing the café, ensuring smooth daily operations, and providing exceptional customer service. Duties after training
- Open and close the café, ensuring all security protocols are followed
- Supervise daily operations, including staff management and customer service
- Oversee the safety and cleanliness of the play area, adhering to health and safety standards
- Assist with merchandising, maintaining attractive displays to enhance customer experience
- Handle administrative tasks such as stock management and reporting
- Support team members with training and guidance as needed
- Address customer inquiries promptly via phone or in person
- Promote a positive atmosphere that encourages repeat visits and customer satisfaction
Skills
- Strong leadership qualities with previous supervisory or management experience in retail or hospitality environments
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively under pressure
- Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to motivate and supervise staff effectively
- Exceptional organisational skills to coordinate daily activities seamlessly
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills with a friendly demeanour suitable for engaging with families and children
- Previous experience in retail management or similar roles is desirable but not essential

Working hours will mostly be 8am - 4pm. Weekends will be pro rata.
The starting pay rate is while training, key holder rate will be negotiated depending on experience.
The contract will be 8 hours however more hours will be available once fully trained and confident.
