About the Role
We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Accounts Administration Assistant to support our finance and administrative functions. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, and provide general administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Duties to include but not limited to:
- Process purchase invoices and supplier payments.
- Maintain accurate financial records and accounting databases.
- Assist with credit control and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Assist with subcontractor payroll administration on a weekly basis
- Maintaining accurate vehicle tracking records
- Manage filing systems, both electronic and paper-based.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence.
- Entering and checking data across multiple systems.
- Maintain office records and documentation.
- Schedule meetings and assist with diary management.
- Provide administrative assistance to management and other departments.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Previous experience in an accounts, finance, or administrative role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational and time-management abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Desirable
- Previous experience in an accounts or administration role
- Previous knowledge of checking timesheets / payment applications
- Experience using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar.
- Experience using CRM systems / online portals or document management systems
