Role Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and motivated Support Workers to join our team in Crewe. You will provide person-centred support to individuals in our brand new 6 bed Care Home and the wider community, promoting independence and wellbeing. You will be involved in day-to-day care, assisting with daily living tasks, social and recreational activities, and fostering positive relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support in line with individual care plans.
- Assist with daily tasks, including meal preparation, cleaning, and personal hygiene.
- Encourage and support clients to achieve their personal goals and participate in activities.
- Provide emotional and practical support to individuals, offering reassurance and guidance when needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care delivered.
- Work closely with a supportive team of professionals, ensuring the highest standards of care.
- If you are a driver, you may be required to support with transportation for appointments or community outings.
- Must be willing to work both day and night shifts on a shift rotation basis.
- Must have the Right to Work in the UK Full Time (NO AVAILABILITY FOR 20 HOURS)
What We Are Looking For:
- Experienced in supporting vulnerable people.

- Previous experience in a support worker or care role is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.
- A genuine passion for supporting individuals and enhancing their lives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A compassionate, patient, and flexible approach.
- A full UK driving license is preferred (but not essential) to support individuals with travel needs.
Desirable Attributes:
· Experience of supporting people with a learning disability, autism and complex needs.
· Experience of supporting people who experience distress
· NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent qualification
· FULL UK driving licence to support the individual
As a Support Worker, your daily tasks will include:
· To provide support and personal care to individuals so they can live as independently as possible.
· To provide emotional support and encourage individuals to help themselves live fulfilling lives.
· To carry out domestic duties such as cooking, cleaning, laundry and helping the individuals with personal finances.
· Work flexibly according to the person we supports needs and wishes.
· Supporting individuals with taking medication, storage of medication and to follow record keeping procedures.
· Participate in training opportunities, formal and informal to gain a wide understanding of Service Users’ needs and disabilities so as to facilitate their independence and choice.
· Provide the opportunity for individuals to take part in leisure, social and education activities.
· To be able to deal with Challenging Behaviour and to diffuse situations using a Positive Behaviour Support approach.
· Must be able to commit to a shift pattern on a shift rotation between Days and Nights Average 7 shifts over a fortnight. Shifts are 12.25hrs - either 7.45am/pm to 8pm/am or 09.45am-10pm depending on the needs of the service each week.
Working Relationships
The post-holder will be required to develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, management colleagues, visitors, carers, visiting professionals, commissioners and registration bodies.

- £1 extra per hour overtime rate on top of basic
- Extra 0.50p per hour if you hold a Full UK Drivers Licence and regularly drive the person we supports’ vehicle.
