Reporting to the Head of People and Culture this role is the operational backbone of our People function, working closely with Central Operations and our regional teams on the delivering pragmatic people support.
You will be the person our teams rely on for sound advice as they manage their own people across our schools communications, engagement, development and performance. You will also be custodian of our people analytics, turning data into the insight that shapes our roadmap for people operations.
- Be the first point of contact on the everyday people questions that come up across our Community Host workforce

Prepare payroll each cycle for both workforces, including variable Host hours checking, querying and reconciling so everyone is paid accurately and on time

Own our people data and analytics build the reporting on turnover, absence, engagement and cost, and interrogate it for the patterns worth acting on

Handle the day-to-day employee relations work attendance, conduct, capability and performance with note-taking, correspondence and follow-through

Keep records, systems and compliance in good order across policy, contracts and mandatory training

Build engagement and retention with initiatives that suit short-shift, flexible and remote colleagues

Improve as you go, and turn your hand to what the week needs the role will broaden as we do, and we always find a way to tackle any challenge.

You might be CIPD Level 3 qualified, working towards it, or hold equivalent hands-on experience all three work for us, and we will support your next qualification.

A real passion for data strong Excel skills, and the knack of explaining what the numbers actually mean

Experience of payroll preparation, or a genuine appetite to own it, with the accuracy the task demands

Strong organisational skills and the flexibility to juggle a broad, changing workload

A clear communicator who is professional, confidential and credible in hard conversations

Practical and calm under pressure, ideally with experience of a shift-based workforce
