Job Summary
We're looking for a passionate and reliable Cook to join our busy kitchen team. We are a cosy country pub, welcoming a fantastic mix of loyal local regulars, diners from further afield, and guests staying in our six letting rooms.
We take pride in serving freshly prepared, high-quality food in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Whether it's a hearty lunch, a family dinner or breakfast for our overnight guests, you'll play an important role in delivering a great experience.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing and cooking dishes to a consistently high standard.
- Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
- Maintaining high standards of food presentation and portion control.
- Ensuring the kitchen is clean, organised and compliant with food hygiene regulations.
- Monitoring stock levels and helping with deliveries and stock rotation.
- Following recipes and maintaining consistency across the menu.
- Working efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a pub, restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety standards.
- The ability to work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a close-knit team.
- Reliability, good time management and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
