Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Manager to oversee operations within our food manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring production efficiency, maintaining high standards of quality, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities
- Manage daily production activities, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Lead and motivate production teams to achieve operational targets through effective communication and leadership.
- Oversee the utilisation of ERP systems such as planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Implement process improvements and continuous improvement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimise resource utilisation.
- Monitor supply chain operations to ensure timely procurement of raw materials and minimise downtime.
- Conduct regular quality control checks to maintain product consistency and compliance with food safety regulations.
- Coordinate maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting with engineering teams to minimise equipment downtime.
- Analyse production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for enhancement.
- Ensure all health and safety protocols are strictly followed across the manufacturing site.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a production management role within the food manufacturing sector or similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems, alongside familiarity with supply chain management principles.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand equipment maintenance and troubleshooting processes.
- Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong leadership qualities with experience in team development and motivation.
- Familiarity with quality control standards relevant to food production environments.

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
