The Northcote Saviour is our flagship Saviour Bars venue, situated on Northcote Road in the heart of Battersea. Since opening, the business has grown significantly, building a reputation for quality food, great drinks and genuinely excellent hospitality.
As part of that continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team.
About the role
A great kitchen relies on great standards behind the scenes, and our Kitchen Porters are an important part of the team.
You'll be responsible for maintaining exceptionally high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen, supporting the chefs during busy services and helping with some basic food preparation.
We're looking for someone who understands the pace and standards of a professional kitchen and takes genuine pride in keeping things clean, organised and running properly.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar kitchen role
- Excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Someone comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen
- Reliable, organised and able to work as part of a close team
- A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
- Comfortable carrying out basic food preparation when required
- Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety
What you'll be doing
- Maintaining excellent cleanliness throughout the kitchen and back-of-house areas
- Washing and organising kitchen equipment, utensils and crockery
- Keeping work areas clean, safe and ready for service
- Supporting chefs with basic food preparation
- Helping with deliveries and keeping storage areas organised
- Supporting the kitchen team throughout busy services
- Following all food hygiene, health and safety and cleaning procedures
