Gentech Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with our client based in Craigavon for a General Manager, to lead the day-to-day operations of their busy manufacturing facility. This role is ideally suited to either an experienced General Manager or a strong Production Manager / Operations Manager ready to take the next step into a broader leadership role.
Duties
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the production facility.
- Oversee compounding, pulverising, recycling, and related manufacturing processes.
- Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved.
- Monitor plant performance, production output, downtime, waste, and operational efficiencies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production and plant operations.
- Ensure effective utilisation of machinery, materials, labour, and plant resources.
- Support preventative maintenance and equipment reliability initiatives.
Essential
- Previous experience in a Production Manager, Operations Manager, Plant Manager, or similar leadership role.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing, pulverising, recycling, and production operations.
- Experience managing teams within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety practices within manufacturing.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance operational efficiency and profitability.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong relationship management skills.
- Hands-on and practical leadership style.
