Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, supporting culinary staff, and ensuring a smooth operation. Duties
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to uphold hygiene standards
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors
- Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
- Organising storage areas for ingredients and supplies to ensure efficiency
- Supporting the overall cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, or culinary activities is desirable
- Experience working in a fast-paced hospitality setting is a plus
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail are important for maintaining hygiene standards
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn about kitchen operations and hospitality practices
