We’re looking for a chef who can join part of a small team in our village pub. The Fox & Hounds is looking for someone who can play their part in making good, simple food but make it look and taste fantastic. This isn’t pretentious nonsense, this is being at the heart of the communit.
You don’t need lots of experience, you don’t need to have gone to culinary school. You need to have the enthusiasm and confidence to come in and put your personality into your work.
The ideal candidate will be clean, well presented, organised with a can-do attitude towards problem solving and ideas with good communication.
This is a live-in position; your rent, utilities and bills are all covered by us. Your take-home salary is yours. The accommodation is shared with the General Manager and our chef. There is also a small staff kitchen. Your room also has WiFi. Food will be provided on working days for free. We’re located in a small village, a 15 minute drive from Bedford. Whilst we have transport links, locally it’ll benefit you having your own transport.
We try to strike the right balance between work and life. Whilst we’re a small team and we work hard, the right person will understand that keeping on top of things will ensure jobs don’t take forever to complete.
Pay: £25,000.00 per year
