About Thornemere Limited
At Thornemere Limited, we solve property problems.
We are a growing specialist services company providing pest prevention, live honeybee removal, bird control, drainage, roofing and property maintenance solutions to residential, commercial and public sector clients across the UK.
Our brands include PGH Pest Prevention, Beegone Live Honeybee Removal, Woodpecker Roofing, Crown and Burrow and SewerFix. We have built our reputation by delivering exceptional customer service, finding long-term solutions rather than quick fixes, and caring about the environment wherever possible.
We are an ambitious business with exciting growth plans, and we're looking for someone exceptional to lead our Internal Sales Team.
The Opportunity
This is not just another sales job.
We're looking for an experienced sales leader who can inspire, coach and develop a high-performing team while continuing to lead from the front.
You'll still be speaking with customers, preparing quotations and winning business yourself, but you'll also be responsible for driving the performance of the team, improving technician utilisation and ensuring work is scheduled as efficiently as possible.
If you enjoy analysing performance, motivating people, improving processes and creating a winning culture, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
You'll lead a team of Internal Sales Executives responsible for converting enquiries, preparing quotations, securing work and ensuring jobs are scheduled as efficiently as possible.
As well as managing the sales team and leading by example, you'll take ownership of the Tier 2 diary, ensuring technician routes are planned efficiently, travel time is minimised and productive time on site is maximised.
Working closely with Operations, you'll continually review workload, diary utilisation and technician capacity to improve profitability, customer service and operational efficiency.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be expected to drive sales performance, coach your team and continuously improve the way the department operates.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop the Internal Sales Team.
- Set clear expectations and create a high-performance sales culture.
- Monitor KPIs, conversion rates, sales activity and individual performance.
- Coach team members through regular one-to-ones, call reviews and ongoing training.
- Manage the Tier 2 work diary, ensuring work is planned proactively and efficiently.
- Optimise technician routes to reduce travel time, maximise productive hours and improve utilisation.
- Monitor technician capacity and workloads, ensuring the diary is effectively managed and balanced.
- Work closely with Operations to maximise efficiency while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, scheduling, systems and customer experience.
- Handle inbound sales enquiries and convert leads into customers.
- Follow up quotations and warm leads to maximise conversion rates.
- Prepare accurate quotations using our CRM systems.
- Build long-term relationships with commercial and residential customers.
- Produce regular performance reports, analyse trends and make recommendations to improve departmental performance.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and development of future sales team members.
- Lead by example, maintaining your own high level of sales performance.
- Contribute ideas that help grow the business and improve results across the wider company.
About You
We're looking for someone who genuinely loves sales and enjoys helping others become successful.
You'll be someone who leads by example, enjoys working with data and understands that coaching people is just as important as achieving your own targets.
You'll have:
- Proven experience managing or supervising a sales team.
- A strong background in telephone sales and customer service.
- Excellent coaching and leadership skills.
- The ability to motivate people and improve performance.
- Experience monitoring KPIs, conversion rates and sales reporting.

- A commercial mindset with a focus on improving efficiency and profitability.
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
- High levels of energy, integrity and professionalism.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- A genuine desire to continuously improve both yourself and your team.
Experience within pest control, facilities management, property services or construction would be an advantage, but isn't essential.
