Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner Operative to join our team on a permanent basis in Bristol. This role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial premises. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in commercial cleaning, demonstrating attention to detail and a professional attitude.
This position is based within a busy fitness facility that remains operational during the shift. Applicants must be comfortable working around members of the public, gym users, and site staff while maintaining a professional and approachable manner at all times.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including corridors, washrooms, and communal spaces
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to the highest standards within specified timeframes
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet roll as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of storage areas and cleaning equipment
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning activities
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of hygiene
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
- Good organisational skills and reliability
- Ability to receive and act on feedback constructively
- Intermediate to fluent English
Location: Bristol, BS16 2EA
Pay Rate: £13.40 per hour
Shift Pattern: Wednesday and Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Hours: 16 hours per week
Start Date: 26 June 2026
You will be offer to cover shifts when required.
