Don't just take our word for it...
“I was very sceptical about leaving my old job but I’m so I glad I took the leap and applied for my position at Apollo. Best thing I ever did, I get to spend more time with my children and watch them grow. Everyone is so friendly and easy to approach if you have a problem.”
About This Role We are looking for caring and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to support a young man in his late teens who has a vibrant personality and enjoys a wide range of activities.
Music plays a big part in his life, and he particularly enjoys listening to Adele, songs from The Greatest Showman, and relaxing music. He also enjoys spending time on his iPad, watching Disney programmes, including Mickey Mouse and Special Agent Oso, and listening to stories through his Toniebox, which is an important part of his daily routine.
He loves getting out into the community, whether that's going for walks, spending time outdoors, or attending football matches with his dad. You will accompany him on the bus to and from school, provide support throughout the school day, and help him engage in the activities he enjoys while promoting his wellbeing, independence, and quality of life. Working closely with his family and wider support network, you will provide consistent, person-centred care across home, school, and community settings.
You will also provide overnight support, ensuring he is closely monitored throughout the night, remains comfortable and settled, and that all of his care needs are met. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is compassionate, reliable, and passionate about making a positive difference in a young person's life.
