Job Title: Machine Operator
Responsible for: Operating Machinery
Hours: Late Shift - Monday - Wednesday 14:45 pm- 01:10 am and Thursday 14:45 - 01:00 am - 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £12.71 + late shift allowance
Based: Croydon
Main Purpose of Job
The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery used in the production process. This role ensures that machines run efficiently, meet quality standards, and comply with safety regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Machine Setup & Operation:
- Prepare machines for production runs, including calibration and adjustments.
- Operate machinery according to established procedures and specifications.
- Adhere to H&S Rules and Protocols to ensure personal safety.
Quality Control:
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Record production data and report any discrepancies.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machines.
- Identify and resolve mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Safety Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required protective equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Complete production logs and maintenance records accurately.
- Log accurate operation run times and output.
- Communicate issues to supervisors and suggest process improvements.
