We're looking for a professional, reliable and customer-focused Class 2 Driver to join our Transport team in Tilbury. If you take pride in delivering outstanding service, driving safely and being part of a supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.
Working as part of our transport operation, you'll ensure deliveries and collections are completed safely, efficiently and on time while providing exceptional service to our customers across the UK
What You'll Be Doing
As a Class 2 Driver, you'll play a key role in ensuring our customers receive the high-quality service they expect from Arcese.
Deliveries & Collections
- Complete scheduled deliveries and collections safely and efficiently.
- Ensure deliveries are made on time and in line with customer requirements.
- Load and unload vehicles where required, ensuring goods are handled with care.
- Complete delivery paperwork and proof of delivery documentation accurately.
Safety & Compliance
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects promptly.
- Drive safely and professionally, complying with Driver Hours Regulations and all road traffic legislation.
- Ensure loads are secure and transported safely.
- Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.
Customer Service
- Represent Arcese professionally at all customer locations.
- Build positive relationships with customers through excellent service.
- Communicate effectively with the Transport Office regarding delays or operational issues.
- Resolve customer queries professionally and courteously whenever possible.
Supporting the Team
- Work closely with the Transport Office and Warehouse teams to ensure efficient operations.
- Demonstrate flexibility to support changing customer and business requirements.
- Contribute to a positive, professional and safety-focused working environment.
What We're Looking For
we’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys delivering excellent customer service and understands the importance of safety, reliability and teamwork.
Essential Requirements
✔ Full UK Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence.
✔ Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
✔ Digital Tachograph Card.
✔ Previous experience driving Class 2 vehicles.
✔ Good knowledge of Driver Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive.
✔ Strong customer service and communication skills.
✔ Reliable, professional and safety conscious.
✔ Ability to work independently while contributing to the wider team.
We'd Love to See
- Experience within palletised distribution, general haulage or multi-drop deliveries.
- Experience using handheld delivery devices or electronic POD systems.
- Good geographical knowledge of London, Essex and the South East.
- A flexible and positive approach to work.
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
