What the day will look like
As Domicile Leader for the Cayman Islands, you will be accountable for the leadership, growth and performance of Aon’s Cayman captive management operation. You will combine office leadership, client and market engagement, people leadership and commercial oversight to ensure exceptional service delivery while strengthening Aon’s position in the Cayman market.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the Cayman office, driving operational excellence, service quality and delivery against client commitments
- Translating ACIM and Hub strategy into local action plans aligned to the Cayman market and regulatory environment
- Collaborating closely with regional and global colleagues to share best practice and deliver consistent client outcomes
- Acting as a senior representative of Aon within the Cayman Islands insurance and captive community
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, regulators, industry associations and key market stakeholders
- Supporting business development, retention and growth opportunities across Cayman and the wider region
- Leading, developing and inspiring a high-performing local team, including recruitment, onboarding, coaching, succession planning and colleague engagement
- Championing Aon United culture and creating an inclusive, collaborative working environment
- Ensuring compliance with Cayman Islands regulatory requirements, Aon policies and the ACIM Risk Management Framework
- Acting as a key liaison with regulatory bodies and supporting audits, inspections and governance activities
How this opportunity is different
This is a high-profile leadership role at the heart of one of Aon’s most significant captive domiciles. You will have end‑to‑end responsibility for the Cayman operation, with the scope to shape local strategy, influence regional priorities and represent Aon with senior stakeholders across the captive and insurance community. You will partner closely with ACIM and Hub leadership, work alongside specialist captive, actuarial and advisory teams, and be supported by an experienced local team committed to delivering outstanding client service. This role offers the opportunity to blend strategic leadership with hands‑on market engagement in a dynamic, globally connected environment.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Significant experience within captives, insurance management, insurance, financial services or a related sector
- Strong understanding of the Cayman Islands insurance and/or captive market
- Confirmed leadership experience within a regulated environment
- Commercially minded with strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Collaborative, inclusive leadership style with a track record of developing and inspiring high-performing teams
