We are seeking a skilled Garment Decorator (Embroidery & Print) to join our team in Peterborough. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality customised garments and workwear, ensuring all items meet client specifications and our internal quality standards.
This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced environment, offering the opportunity to work across a wide range of products including, workwear, branded clothing and promotional merchandise. This role offers excellent opportunities for career advancement for the right candidate.
Duties
- Operate print and embroidery machinery to decorate garments to specification
- Prepare artwork proofs
- Process clothing orders from emails and sales portals
- Set up machines, including threading, loading designs, and calibration
- Accurately position logos and ensure correct placement on garments
- Maintain colour consistency and design accuracy throughout production
- Inspect finished products for quality, identifying and correcting any defects
- Prepare garments for production, including sorting and organising orders
- Pick and pack completed orders accurately
- Carry out routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance
- Monitor stock levels of garments and consumables
- Place stock and consumable orders with suppliers
- Follow all health and safety procedures within the workspace
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in garment printing and/or embroidery is essential
- Experience in a production, warehouse, or manufacturing environment is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and consistency
- Ability to manage workload and prioritise multiple orders
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to the team
- Understanding of artwork & design files is required familiar with corelDRAW or Adobe illistrator
