At Terberg DTS, we're looking for a Warehouse Operative Apprentice to join our warehouse team in Elland. This is an exciting opportunity to gain practical experience across all areas of warehouse operations while working towards a Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship.
You'll receive structured training and support, developing the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to become a successful warehouse professional. From receiving goods and managing stock to picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders, you'll play an important role in keeping our operations running efficiently while building a rewarding career for the future.
This apprenticeship combines hands-on workplace learning with college attendance one day per month. Throughout the programme, you'll build your apprenticeship portfolio and prepare for your End Point Assessment (EPA).
Loading and unloading goods and deliveries safely and efficiently.
Checking incoming stock for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
Storing goods correctly within designated warehouse locations.
Moving stock throughout the warehouse by hand, using lifting equipment, or forklift trucks where appropriate.
Entering stock and inventory data into warehouse management systems.
Supporting stock counts and inventory checks as required.
Picking and packing orders accurately for customers and external engineers.
Preparing deliveries for dispatch and ensuring goods reach the correct destination.
Ensuring products are packaged securely and shipped damage-free.
Maintaining accurate warehouse records and paperwork.Keeping warehouse areas clean, organised, and safe.
Following company procedures and health and safety requirements.
Working collaboratively with colleagues to support operational and customer requirements.
Attending apprenticeship training and completing coursework as required.
Building evidence towards your apprenticeship qualification and End Point Assessment.
Taking on a variety of tasks to develop a broad understanding of warehouse operations.
A full understanding of end-to-end warehouse operations.
Stock control processes and inventory management, including FIFO principles.
Experience using warehouse and stock management systems.
Goods receipting, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch procedures.
Warehouse health and safety best practices.
The importance of accuracy, efficiency, and customer service within a supply chain environment.
Professional communication and teamwork skills.
A recognised Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative qualification.
