Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, ensuring smooth restaurant operations, and creating a welcoming environment for all guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Take guest orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper food preparation instructions are communicated to the kitchen
- Serve food and beverages with professionalism and attentiveness
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, counters, and service stations
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is advantageous but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Strong organisational skills with effective time management abilities
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Willingness to learn new skills, including upselling techniques and food safety protocols
