We are seeking a dedicated Production Operative/Forklift Driver to join our manufacturing team. Duties
- Operate and monitor food production machinery, adhering to safety protocols and operational procedures
- Assist in the preparation and assembly of food products, ensuring consistency and quality standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of work areas in compliance with HACCP and food safety regulations
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment, reporting any faults or issues promptly
- Measure ingredients and components accurately using basic maths skills to support production accuracy
- Follow strict food safety guidelines throughout all stages of production
- Support the implementation of food safety procedures, including documentation and record keeping
- Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow efficiency and minimise waste
Experience
- Previous experience in food production or manufacturing is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety standards is desirable
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with industrial equipment is beneficial
- Basic maths skills required for measuring ingredients and quantities accurately
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to ensure high-quality output
