LO Transport is a leading provider of a delivery service of fresh produce, pharmaceutical supplies, gourmet foods and we are currently seeking dedicated and professional Refrigerated Courier Drivers to join our growing team. As a Refrigerated Courier Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of temperature-sensitive goods to our valued customers across the UK. This is a crucial role that directly impacts the quality and integrity of our customers products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operating and maintaining a refrigerated vehicle to transport goods at specified temperatures.
* Loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently, ensuring proper handling and temperature control.
* Adhering to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and relevant transport laws
* Performing pre-shift vehicle checks and reporting any defects promptly.
* Maintaining accurate delivery records and completing all necessary paperwork.
* Providing excellent customer service during deliveries.
* Communicating effectively with the transport team regarding delivery progress and any issues.
* Ensuring the cleanliness and good condition of the vehicle.
What We're Looking For:
* A valid UK driving licence.
* Proven experience as a courier or delivery driver, ideally with experience operating refrigerated vehicles.
* A strong understanding of temperature control and food safety regulations.
* Excellent geographical knowledge of the UK.
* Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Reliable, punctual, and highly organised.
* A professional and customer-focused attitude.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
