We are seeking someone with experience and knowledge to service our fleet of 21 forklifts at our site in South Petherton, Somerset. In this role you will be self-organising, running your own workshop to inspect, service, repair and maintain our fleet of side loading Lancer Boss forklifts.

Location: South Petherton, Somerset
Duration: Full-Time/Permanent – 40 hours per week – Mon-Fri 8:00am-17:00pm (hours can be flexible)
Responsibilities:
- Managing and fulfilling the maintenance and serviceability of the company forklifts
- Closely liaising with Operations and Logistics Managers and operations staff to ensure timely and effectively planned maintenance at all times
- Completing safety inspections of tools and equipment
- Diagnosing faults
- Repairing machines
- Anticipating machine failures and preventing recurrence
- Maintaining the workshop
- Managing the stock of spare parts
- Ordering parts
- Completing written records of all maintenance activities
- Other facilities tasks as and when required
Skills and Experience Required:
- Experience with side loaders, forklifts and/or plant maintenance
- Good mechanical, electrical and hydraulic understanding and skills
- Good standard of numeracy and literacy skills
- Team player
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Certificate to drive forklifts (desirable)
