Our client is a leading provider of clinical research and diagnostic solutions for Life Sciences. The Oxfordshire facility supports research, development, customer training and demonstrations.
Due to growth they are looking to add a Site Operations Manager to support procurement, planning, planning, manufacturing, distribution, new product implementation, SHE, facilities management and quality, ensuring the business operates safely, efficiently and effectively across the site.
The Site Operations Manager will ensure the office and laboratory facilities operate safely, efficiently and professionally, leading site services, EHS, contractor management, stakeholder communications and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Site operations and facilities: ensure daily office and laboratory operations run smoothly; manage facilities, equipment, maintenance, calibration, repairs, security, visitors, deliveries and Front of House services
EHS, compliance and risk: lead site EHS activity, including health and safety, fire safety, inspections, permits to work, legionella responsibilities, GDPR/data protection and related assessments
Stakeholder and supplier management: work with landlord representatives, site management, service providers, suppliers and internal teams; keep occupants informed of site news, risks and changes
Projects and improvements: lead site improvement initiatives, embed ESG principles, track actions, produce reports, improve systems/workflows and act as escalation point for operational issues
Essential Skills/Duties:
- Operational and facilities management experience
- Good understanding of Health & Safety, GDPR, audits, compliance and action tracking
- People management with the ability to motivate teams and influence site colleagues
- Supplier, stakeholder, communication and problem-solving skills
- Project management, including budgets, CAPEX and business cases for small projects
- Solutions focused and committed to sustainability/ESG
- Lead site, facilities and EHS processes, escalating risks to the Head of Operations
- Maintain disaster recovery documentation and training
- Manage SHE training and support safe, compliant site operations
- Plan maintenance, calibration and repairs around business needs, including participation in the out-of-hours on-call system where required
Desirable Skills (not deal breakers):
- ISO 9001 / ISO 27001 experience
- Engineering or facilities background
- COSHH, NEBOSH or IOSH
- Carbon reduction planning
Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
