Our client a fast growing Life Sciences & Med Tech company are looking for a proactive Site Services and EHS Manager to help keep their Oxford site safe, efficient and welcoming for colleagues, visitors and contractors. This is a varied, hands-on operations role where you will make a visible impact across facilities, laboratories and workplace operations.
The company develop high-quality products for NGS, arrays and FISH, supporting researchers and clinical decision makers working with genetic disorders etc.
Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day site services across facilities, office services, front of house, security, housekeeping, supplies, deliveries and visitor support
- Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, calibration, repairs, plant, equipment and building fabric work to keep the site running smoothly
- Champion a positive EHS culture through health and safety, fire safety, inspections, permits to work, Legionella responsibilities, audits, action tracking and SHE training
- The Site Services & EHS Manager will work closely with contractors, service providers, landlord representatives and internal teams to resolve issues quickly and professionally
- Spot opportunities to improve systems, workflows, workplace processes and service delivery, including sustainability and ESG-related improvements.
- Prepare reports, tracking actions, supporting budgets and business cases, and acting as an escalation point for facilities and operational matters, including occasional out-of-hours support.
Skills & Expertise:
- Experience managing facilities, office services, suppliers, contractors, budgets and CAPEX-related activity
- Organisation, project management, problem-solving and communication skills
- Understanding of Health & Safety, GDPR and compliance
- Ideally NEBOSH or IOSH capability (although training & funding can be provided)
- Managing audits, tracking actions and presenting information clearly to a range of stakeholders
- People management, with the ability to support, motivate and develop others
- Calm, resilient and solutions-focused approach
It would be great if you also bring (not a dealbreaker):
- Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 27001, COSHH, carbon reduction planning, engineering or facilities projects
Pay: £42,500.00-£47,500.00 per year
