We're looking for an experienced Workshop Engineer to join our Cardiff Depot.
Working within our workshop, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of construction equipment, as well as preparing new and used machines ready for delivery. You'll carry out inspections, diagnostics, repairs and pre-delivery inspections, ensuring every machine leaves the workshop to the highest standard.
Working alongside an experienced team, you'll have access to quality tooling, ongoing training and the opportunity to further develop your technical skills while working with some of the industry's leading equipment.
- Service, maintain and repair Komatsu and other construction equipment.
- Complete pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) and machine modifications.
- Diagnose faults across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Carry out repairs, overhauls and component rebuilds.
- Complete post-repair testing and inspections to ensure machines meet performance standards.
- Identify and order parts required for repairs.
- Complete all service documentation accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance or an equivalent engineering qualification.
- Experience working on heavy plant or construction equipment.
- Good knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Experience using workshop equipment and tooling.
- Welding and oxy-acetylene experience would be advantageous.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- A proactive approach with high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
