Job Overview
We are looking for a friendly and professional Front of House team member to join our catering team at Flint House. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a welcoming and smooth dining experience for our guests in a self-service buffet setting. You will play a key role in maintaining a high standard of service and cleanliness while also supporting our café and bar areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring guests feel welcomed and supported during their dining experience.
- Oversee the dining / self-service buffet area, keeping it clean, well-stocked, and presentable during service of Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Refill fridges, coffee pots and light prep of breakfast and lunch goods.
- Assist guests with any queries regarding food, drinks, and general dining arrangements.
- Support clearing of used plates and maintain a tidy and organised environment.
- Remove the full trolley to the kitchen and if necessary sanitize tables for next sitting.
- Support the café by serving drinks, handling payments, and restocking supplies as needed.
- Assist in the bar area, serving beverages responsibly and ensuring compliance with licensing laws.
- Work closely with the kitchen and catering team to ensure seamless service throughout meal times.
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene regulations to maintain a safe dining environment.
- Perform any additional duties as required to support the smooth operation of the catering service.
- Support with events, conferences and meetings that are held in Flint House. Setting up, catering and clearing after the event.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a front-of-house, hospitality, or catering role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional approach.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed.
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety procedures (training will be provided).
- A positive attitude and willingness to provide excellent service to guests.
Working Hours & Benefits
- Flexible shifts on a rota which will be depending on rota - 7 am to 2 pm and 2pm to 9pm or 3pm to 11pm . 5 days a week. Ability to work weekends.
