The Yard by Silver Oak is a venue built from five converted shipping containers, each with its own food and drink offering. We roast our own speciality coffee, and we want the food to be every bit as good.
We're looking for an enthusiastic, talented Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. The role comes with a real degree of autonomy and plenty of room for creativity. Kitchens close around 8pm, so the hours are sociable, though we're open weekends and bank holidays (never Christmas Day).
The ethos is friendly, casual, outdoor dining, with some indoor space and a kids' area. We run a lot of events, buffets and parties, and everything we serve is quality, homemade and artisan. We're after a genuine foodie.
You'll need:
- Experience at sous or head chef level delivering consistent, high quality food in a busy kitchen
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to lead a team
- Real enthusiasm for good food and ideas of your own
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £37,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
