Overview
We are seeking professional HGV Class 1 & 2 Drivers to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various locations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on delivering outstanding service and maintaining high safety standards. Candidates must hold valid HGV licences and have relevant driving experience.
Duties
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 or Class 2 vehicles, including flatbed lorries, in accordance with road safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-journey checks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper securing of cargo.
- Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to legal driving hours.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs.
- Maintain a professional demeanour when interacting with clients and colleagues during deliveries.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or damage.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence recognised in the UK.
- Proven experience in commercial driving.
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability and customer service skills.
- Good knowledge of road regulations and safety standards within the UK.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Flexibility to undertake early morning, late evening, or weekend shifts if required. Driving licence with no serious endorsements.
Pay: £13.50-£15.00 per hour
