About Anderson Power
Anderson Power is looking for an experienced Pipe Fitter & Welder to join our team on a permanent basis. You'll work across a range of client sites and projects, so this role suits someone who enjoys variety, takes real pride in their workmanship, and is comfortable travelling between projects.
The Role
As Pipe Fitter & Welder, you'll be responsible for the fabrication, installation, and welding of pipework systems to a consistently high standard, working from engineering drawings and specifications across our project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate, fit, and install pipework in line with engineering drawings and specifications
- Carry out high-quality welding (MIG/TIG as required) on a range of pipe materials, including carbon steel and stainless steel
- Cut, bend, thread, and align pipework accurately ahead of installation
- Read and interpret technical drawings, isometrics, and welding procedure specifications
- Carry out visual checks on welds and completed pipework to ensure quality standards are met
- Travel to client sites and project locations as required, sometimes with overnight stays
- Work closely with site supervisors, project managers, and other trades on site
- Follow site health & safety procedures at all times and keep tools and equipment well maintained
What We're Looking For
- Proven, time-served experience as a pipe fitter and welder
- Strong practical welding skills (MIG/TIG) across a range of pipe materials and thicknesses
- Confidence reading engineering drawings and isometric diagrams
- A full, valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
- A good understanding of site health & safety practice; a valid CSCS card (or willingness to obtain one) is desirable
- A strong eye for detail and pride in producing high-quality, reliable work
- A team player with good communication skills, able to work well alongside other trades
