Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm (On-site)
The Role:
Payroll • Process monthly/weekly payroll accurately and on time, including starters, leavers, and changes. • Calculate statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP) and deductions. • Administer pensions, auto enrolment, and employee benefits. • Manage payroll queries and liaise with employees to resolve discrepancies. • Ensure compliance with HMRC requirements, including RTI submissions. • Prepare payroll reports for Finance and management as required. HR Administration • Maintain accurate employee records on HR systems and personnel files. • Support recruitment administration, including contracts, offer letters, and onboarding. • Administer absence records, including sickness, holidays, and other leave. • Assist with HR processes such as probation reviews, performance reviews, and disciplinaries (administrative support only). • Coordinate training records and mandatory compliance training. • Support offboarding processes, including exit paperwork and final pay.
Compliance & Data Management • Ensure HR and payroll data is handled in line with GDPR and company policies. • Keep policies, procedures, and employee documentation up to date. • Respond to basic HR queries, escalating complex issues appropriately. • Support audits and internal reporting requirements.

Experience in HR or payroll, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work accurately under pressure will help you thrive in this role.
Qualifications Needed:
- Payroll qualification (e.g. CIPP) or working towards.

Experience:
Essential • Previous experience in an HR and/or payroll administration role. • Working knowledge of UK payroll legislation and employment law basics. • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. • Confident using payroll and HR systems (e.g. Sage, Xero, BrightPay, Access, etc.). • Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. • Excellent organisational and time management skills. • Ability to handle confidential information professionally. Previous experience of using Sage payroll advantageous. Desirable • Experience in a multi site or multi payroll environment. • Experience supporting absence management and HR reporting.
