Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods, ensuring timely meal preparation and presentation
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, storage, and sanitation practices
- Contribute to inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages or expired items
- Help with meal plating and presentation to ensure dishes meet quality standards before serving
- Collaborate effectively with team members to deliver excellent customer service through efficient food delivery
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Knowledge of kitchen safety, hygiene standards, and food handling procedures
- Strong understanding of culinary techniques and meal preparation processes
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Previous experience serving guests or customers is a plus but not essential
